What Jamil Research is
Jamil Research is an independent publication covering Pakistan's KSE-100 equity market. Every piece explains the mechanism behind a market move, a sector dynamic, or a macro transmission — not just the headline number.
The publication is built around one principle: evidence before conclusions. Every figure is sourced from a Tier 1 primary source — PSX official data, SBP policy announcements, PBS CPI prints, NCCPL institutional flow data, or company quarterly and annual filings. No figure is published from a single source. No figure is recalled from memory.
The research covers six categories: The Mechanism (weekly anchor analysis), Market Structure (index-level reads), Sector Deep-Dives (two or more named companies per piece), Institutional Flows (FIPI/LIPI parsing), Company Analysis (filing-sourced single-name deep dives), and Educational (timeless explainers published monthly).
"Research exists to explain markets, not predict them."
— Jamil Research editorial mandate
What this is not
Jamil Research is an educational and analytical publication. Nothing published here constitutes personalised investment advice under SECP regulations.
Watchlist items are presented as: Ticker | Mechanism | Falsifier. Nothing further. No entry price, no return expectation, no time horizon.
Valuation analysis is directional. It explains the mechanism of re-rating or de-rating — not a numerical forecast of where a share price will trade.
No historical return is used to imply future performance. The research explains mechanisms. Investment outcomes depend on decisions that belong entirely to the reader.
The principles behind every piece
Every published piece explains why something happened and how it transmits to Pakistan's equity market — not just what the number was. The causal chain is always visible.
No analytical position forms before the primary-source data is assembled and independently verified. The evidence determines the conclusion — not the other way around.
Every statement in a Jamil Research publication is either a sourced, verified fact or a clearly labelled inference. No middle ground. Hedging language is never used as a substitute.
Every analytical thesis states the specific evidence that would prove it wrong. A thesis without a falsifier is not research — it is advocacy. Credible analysis is falsifiable analysis.
Nothing publishes without clearing all four quality gates: research QA, writing QA, design QA, and compliance QA. Publication is a consequence of completion, not a deadline target.
All analysis is grounded in Pakistan's equity market structure — its regulatory environment, its data sources, its specific sector dynamics. Global comparisons provide context, never the primary frame.
One corrected figure costs more credibility than years of accurate work can build. Short-term engagement that compromises accuracy is rejected at every step of the process.
Education and analysis only. No personalised investment advice. No price targets. No return forecasts. Disclaimer on every published piece, every format, without exception.
